The Treasurer of the Lambda Chi Alpha, JWU Charlotte Chapter approached us to design a t-shirt for their recruiting events. Each fall and spring semester their chapter would hold events to recruit more students into the fraternity and they wanted a new t-shirt design to recruit more guys.
Our idea was to create a modern, sports team logo for Lambda Chi Alpha: they are known for their white roses and their animal is a Lion. The fraternity is deep in its historical roots, so we adopted their original crest shape and moon/cross into this modern look.
My biggest challenge was getting the right shapes in illustrator. When I would get into this jam I would print out my simple shapes, draw my lines by hand, and then scan/trace my new lines.
